Statement - Comment

When we enter a space - digital or analogue - we leave traces. Maybe we do not even know of which kind they are, but we see and hear some of them. The combination of the interactive audio installation - "Audio Palimpsest" - and the video installation - "From error to time - or: from time to time an error" - presents some of those traces that our presence in a space might leave behind. Loud and fast moments have spontaneous recognizable impact - Resting things reveal themselves slowly and its presence exists for a long period of time.

The action of existing in space is an event - an object in time. An observable happening or occurrence, triggered every second, as an object exists in space and time. By means of technology, be it digital or analogue, we are able to capture the presence of an object existing. The combination of two outputs generated from two installations which existed in the same space and time - " from error to time ... " and " Audio Palimpsest " does just that - an apprehending of data / noise, motion / stagnation and sight / sound.
